The sled show above was created as an example for a class I helped Sarah, a student from MIT teach and organize at the Anchorage CITC FabLab.

 

The sleds components were cut out by the shopbot at the CITC FabLab and then assembled with screws and woodglue, while the designs ontop were created through Gimp and cut out by the laser cutter. Finally, black plastic rails were used on the runners to decrease friction and increase downhill speed.
